Fishing Tips
Mille Lacs is prized for its walleye fishing. If you’re targeting walleye in the lake, the key is to find structure likely to hold them. In fall and winter look for this structure near humps and drop offs. There are many spots throughout the lake where you can find them.
From the south shoreline, you can access gravel areas of the lake that are teeming with fish activity. This is a good spot to start your search from.
By early summer the walleye activity tends to be most productive in the lakes mudflats and basins during the day. In the evening they go back near the structure.
